“I would prefer to fail with honor than win by cheating.”-Sophocles
Reflection:
I myself agree
with this statement because it’s so true. It’s better to try you best and fail instead
of cheating and winning. Sometimes it is hard to choose not to cheat in
something you know you didn’t study for, but we need to choose what’s right. Especially
on tests or quizzes, we shouldn’t cheat, we should try our best and learn our
lesson that next, and we will prepare ourselves for it. It’s better to be wise
and admit that you didn’t study and fail with honor knowing that you didn’t cheat,
than not studying but cheating and still getting a good score sounds foolish to
me. Why can’t people just admit that they didn’t study, today’s society is too
ashamed to tell the truth because we’re so use to saying lies. We must learn
that the lies will become bigger and bigger and will haunt us for a while but
then the truth will spill out and we still have to confess. Always choose the
right thing to honor yourself.
