Student Success Statement

“Nothing in the world can take the place of PERSISTENCE.
Ø  TALENT will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Ø  GENIUS will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Ø  EDUCATION will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
PERSISTENCE and DETERMINATION alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
-President Calvin Coolidge (30th president of U.S. 1872-1933)

Reflection:
Persistence is the key to success and there can’t be anything to take its place. Many have talent but are too afraid to use it, many are geniuses but are afraid to show it, and many have education but don’t know what to use it for. The only way to succeed in a goal is to first have determination to pursue it and no matter what or who comes along to bring you down, you always have to be persistent. Persistence is the voice that tell you to not give up when you what to throw in the towel. For the fact that we think were not gonna make it, we start losing strength and start giving up little by little. We all should have persistence in anything we do but most of all have faith in ourselves.
